Fruits and Flowers Everywhere in Sri Lanka

If you have thought about a trip to Asia, put Sri Lanka at the top of your list. It’s rare to find a destination that combines wonderful food, gorgeous hotels and some of the sweetest, most helpful people it has ever been our pleasure to meet. “Madam, where do you come from? Madam, what can we do for you? Madam, thank you for coming to our country!” Some of the many comments we heard over and over again.

Sri Lanka has mountains , historical sights, beautiful beaches and national forests. And, it is reasonable to visit!

Each day, as we drove along the roads from different areas, I was awed with the diversity…bananas for example. We are accustomed to one kind of banana, an ordinary yellow one – not over 25 varieties of bananas! The sweetest Pineapples – 15 cents for one; avacados; are just a few to mention.

Green, green, green is this Island….with flowers everywhere. The rainforest was loaded with orchids and, incidentally, leeches. But more on the leeches tomorrow.

    Hi,
I was on a call tonight with your son Joel regarding Google adsense and he told us about your site. I really enjoyed the seminar. Your travels are very interesting and stuff I would like to do. These pictures are absolutely beautiful! I could just imagine myself at some of the places you visit. Great Blog ;-)
    Blessings,
    Ruth

Dear Barbara and Ruth: Thanks for your nice comments and wishes. Joel is the greatest son…don’t know what I would have done without his help. Hope you keep visiting the site. Best wishes.

    Hi,
Likewise, I am here via Joel’s audio. I love the layout of the blog (particularly the adsense).
I went travelling last year right around the world and found myself photographing buildings in Singapore, visiting art galleries in Perth, Australia – things I never do at home in UK.
Your blog is really interesting and I guess, so is your lifestyle – one I aim to emulate once I master an income from the internet.
    Best Regards.

Cool site, Sheila. My wife is more like you (loves to travel), but I am a homebody…I’d rather watch a video or see the pictures of the location. She wants to go to Europe…so I told her to take her sister! LOL…
But I like your style. It’s very unpretentious. Very nice job. I’ll be back to visit again!

  6. Hi Shelia,
I think this is a cool site you have. I just helped my mom set up a travel site as well. I have been telling her to set up a blog also. I will have to share your site with her so she can understand better.

I really admire you, not only for your travels, but also for venturing into internet endeavours such as websites and blogging. Your site is beautiful and I want to encourage you to keep blogging. I heard about your site through Joel’s newsletter, after purchasing his ebook on Adsense.
